Is Obama a George W incagnito!?
Okay, so from his state of the union he said hes visited 57 of the states, kids with asthma need inhilators, and we have navy corpesman (not corpsman that way its supposed to be pronounced), just to name a few.
So he fumbled his words big deal right? What did people say when bush did it? my point exactly.
Proceed to back up obama you socialist lovers! <3

When he said 57 states he must have been thinking about this plan to split Canada up into the 7 new US states, you didn't hear it from me!

I love how personal Rez always takes political debates when someone doesnt agree with him.
And I thought the obama lovers were the socialist lovers, no?

Its not you I hate, its you being a tool and believing that socialist nonsense. Anyone with half a brain knows socialism would never happen in this country. Its all a campaign to scare the sheepish masses.

I agree that we aren't ever going to be a socialist country, especially since the gov't takes everyones money anyways, but there are other reasons people are saying this besides fear. The main point being made is the amount of our economy that comes from our federal government. Previous to our fed. gov. taking over the banking system entirely and taking over the auto industry our country was sitting around 35 percent of our GDP coming from our federal government while most socialist countries sit around the 40-50 percent range. if our gov't took over health care and continued to expand at this rediculous rate we would be at socialist ratios of percent of gdp.

My two cents: Both sides are fucked. Republicans criticizing Democrats for not being in touch for the common man by being too wealthy while relaxing in Hawaii for their GOP meeting is an irony they're too stupid to grasp, while Democrats are pussies, plain and simple. They lost the their chance to push things through with a unilateral vote by stalling. I'd like to really hope things will change, but honestly politics is depressing.
I'm hoping the Banks CEO's that fucked us over by taking the bailout and giving themselves seven figure bonuses this christmas at least get some kind of punishment, or even better, jailtime. That's probably hoping for too much at this rate though.

I agree with you Eldryan that both sides are to blame for all of this mess, both sides seem to think that federal programs are the best way to fix things which has never been the case and until we go back to a small federal gov't we are screwed. States should have a lot more power and the federal government should have little (kinda like the constitution was saying).
The death panel comments emerged because many political leaders (both sides) were looking very in depth at the U.K.'s health system where they do have a form of death panels. It was a rediculous comment, but with Tom Daschle saying numerous times that he loved the U.K.'s health system and wished we had something close to it here, then Obama almost putting him in charge of our health care system before his problems emerged, it in a way brought itself out. Still rediculous, but not fully unwarrented.
While having said all of this I do completely agree that republicans are no better. We need a complete political overhaul with new leaders that understand how capitalism and our constitution work. Neither side seems to really understand either.

Being a democrat, I can honestly I am very disappointed in how congressional dems let something like that pass just because they were being puss rags. Man up and take advantage of the situation. Repubs would do it, so why did they make concession after concession and gut the health care bill to a piece of crap?

For those who voted for the current pres, still content with the winner? yes yes, the other choice was just as shitty (I concede that).
Heres to 2012
