Yup. Fucking love it. This will probably be the first FPS I play heavy since CS.

Are you guys wanting to try getting a dedicated server for this? or just pub it up? Let me know and I can look into pricing options and stuff. We'll have to get some consistent donations to do it also.

Possibly get our own if theres enough interest. Looks like just renting one would run us about $25 a month. Dedicated would obviously be more. Its supposed to launch in March, so hopefully by then there will be a decent group.

Yeah, I would love to see us get a presence in this game like we had once upon a time in DoD:S. I would be more than willing to help out with donations for the server and getting things running and whatnot.

Maybe we should get a count of how many anticipate playing this and see what we have from there like you suggested.

LoL. DoD void. Well, it may be able to get people to get on a game that is fun and much newer. I have to say I do like the game ok, but one thing that is hard getting used to is sprinting without being able to strafe in a diagonal manner. Its more sprinting forward and use the mouse to guide you. That will be something I have to get used to. But we should all play when it comes out. Who knows waht may happen?! We may even get enough people to warrant a server again, but only if we have people. I'd be willing to contribute for a server if we can get enough people.

True, if we have enough interest with people, then I'd be willing to help pay. But with the way CodWaW went, I'd have to see enough interest. So far, seems like we have maybe have 5 people, but thats just from this thread. We would need to recruit or get some members back into playing (I prefer both; playing with the old and newer members).

Ive already starting wearing the [BR] tag in servers. If we want to, I can start throwing a web address in chats at the end of games, but I think we should get a section in the forum set up before Id start doing that. This is only beta, but I think it could be a great time to try and openly recruit and get a little bigger base for the games launch. Like I mentioned, if you need anything let me know, Im more than willing to help see if we can get this off the ground. Also, as we get more serious about this I can go to a few forums and make a little spill for us as well.

Sherms what times do you play? Im usually on most evenings barring studies. Add me to their ingame friends list, my name is TranKuil. Anyone else fill free to do so as well, itd be fun teaming up with some people. I try to get on vent every time I play to so look on there as well to see if Im on.

As for the new gameplay, yeah its taking some getting used to. strafing has thrown me off as well and also the biggest thing that messes with me is not having a quickswitch, or not having found it. Also having the pistol bound as 1 instead of 2 is different, but I could bind it different if I really wanted. Adjust for wind and gravity takes some getting used to as well and having a feel for how far things are is something that starts coming with gameplay. I like this game the more Im playing it.

After putting more time in, I gotta say I'm loving this game. It has it's ups and downs, but I keep coming back to it. After unlocking Assault's second weapon, I rarely play anything else. Do/can Xbox Live players play with PC players?

Also, after skimming some forums, I've heard they're upping bullet damage which I'm pleased with. Putting 10 rounds in a guys chest only for him to run up and knife you is fairly unrealistic. There's a debate going on about prone position, to have or not have. I'm of two minds on it. I hate crouching behind cover only for the top of my head to stick out in almost every area and get blown off, but giving snipers anymore advantage would be unbalanced to me.

Anyone had problems with LMV camping? People are down right retarded over it. Most matches I'm seeing 4-5 guys just camping it while we get our asses handed to us.

the game looks pretty good, i just can't stand it when half the team is on their stomach sniping. i've had enough experience with that in the cod series. can anyone tell me it's different than that? if not...there's no point in buying this game.

Yes. Generally its 3 or 4 snipers per team, out of 16 per team. Also, there is no prone position.

I'd whore myself to get a beta key for this... even if I had just two days of playing it I'd be able to tell more... I downloaded the damn beta client but there isn't a beta key in sight.

Yeah Bizzy, everyone whoring snipers really isnt a problem. There is alot of cover (at least in the beta map) which is great for sniping, but also great for ambushing snipers.

And like Tahua said, no prone, just crouching like in CS.

I hoped that they'd shut down servers later tonight, but beta is down now. At least last night's game was a lot of fun. Squad mate and I absolutely wrecked the other team with a tank, I was gunner while he drove. Got 3600 points to his 6000 I think. Squad assist extra points really pay off, I should of gone engineer to speed up the repairs and cash in on some of the extra points he got.

Controls are very difficult on Xbox to pilot the helicopters, how are they on pc? I noticed that a good pilot made a huge difference in the game. I tried myself a few times and crashed a lot, so to spare my team I stopped trying.

Driving the chopper isnt bad once you learn the extra controls. a good pilot odes make a big difference though. And im not that great at it so i usually go for the gunner if im going to get in the chopper.
